Hi, thanks for dropping by!

I'm Richard. I was born in Germany and moved to the US for graduate school. Now I work as an English teacher at a boarding school in Western Massachusetts. I love traveling, literature, soccer, and video games.

This travel blog is my sabbatical project. I want to learn more about my grandfather's story by traveling to Australia and visiting memorials, sites and museums connected to the Sydney/Kormoran battle. At the same time, I want to learn more about the history of the continent, especially the Aboriginal experience.
